Our visit to Stowe School as guests of Fortis Education

A massive thank you to Lisa and the Fortis Education team for an enlightening day at Stowe School

Last month we had the pleasure of attending the Fortis Education Conference at Stowe School. The speakers were informative, thought-provoking and moving. The setting was stunning.  I absolutely loved the roof tour at lunch; what a spectacular setting for learning!

I love having the opportunity to meet colleagues and chat about we are all experiencing in education. So many different perspectives offer great insight.

Then to top off the day, I even won the raffle!!

Insights into great minds was very much a theme of speakers and the setting for the wonderfully informative Fortis Education Conference held at the renowned Stowe School last week.  

Coming from an SEN standpoint, we often speak in great depth with parents and teachers about the particular strengths, creative flair and of course challenges faced by pupils, and in the many schools we visit, encounter the unorthodox approaches and open-minded attitudes that educators bring to bear when getting the best out of every child.  Stowe has long had a reputation for nurturing the unconventional, counting Sir Richard Branson among its old boys, and to this day retains a flexible and progressive approach that was evident during this visit, and very much chimed into by the great array of speakers.

Sir Anthony Seldon gave us a great insight into the personalities and qualities of Prime Ministers, and Patrick Derham discussed his educational charity projects in Africa through the Alsama Project, with both Educators reinforcing their view of Education as a means to change the world as well as individual lives.

We were treated to a tour of the exceptional facilities and there was a great meeting of minds between the myriad guests on topics surrounding education in 2026.
