Tutoring is a service that is often viewed in a high-intensity, counter-productive light that makes many parents hesitant to consider it as an option. At Firefly Education, however, we are not referring to the elite, high-pressure, and often stress-inducing tutoring that often accompanies the word tutoring. Tutoring in our case refers to the extra help and support your child needs, to get them to a level where they are better able to cope with their regular schooling. The type of support that we provide is uniquely tailored to the individual pupil and experience.  This could be needed for a variety of reasonsEmotions of a little girl with Down syndrome, such as the child being an English language-learner, coming from another country where they have not been in a formal schooling environment unlike their English peers, or are just not as far on in their development as others in their year, group or class.  The approach is fun, active and appropriate for their age and level of development.  Examples of the sort of areas we can help with include:

  • Early Years Tutoring
  • Tutoring for children for whom English is not their first language
  • Special Educational Needs, including
  • Dyslexia and Dyscalculia
  • Struggling Readers
  • ADHD
  • Autism/ASD
  • Asperger’s
  • Down’s Syndrome
  • Sensory Processing Disorder, and others

Thanks so much for your messages and calls to check in. Great experience with N (tutor) and we just wrapped up last week. A (daughter) seems really confident and N put a lot together in a short period of time. Thank you so much for making it work for us and I feel so much better about sending into the year 2 onslaught.
